FLC Mission Guatemala Goals: Short-term mission trips offer valuable experiences for individuals and can be a catalyst for spiritual growth, cross-cultural understanding, and even a call to long-term missions. They allow participants to serve others, share the Gospel, learn new skills, and build relationships, while also providing support for local churches and communities, both at home and abroad. We are hoping to send a team of 8-20 to Guatemala in July of 2026.

Where: Parramos and surrounding region in Guatemala. Parramos is a municipality in the Chimaltenango department of Guatemala, known for its vibrant community and cultural richness. It's a town with a population of 11,970, located in the highlands. The area is noted for its community-focused leadership, with a focus on improving the quality of life for residents, especially through access to essential services. Parramos is a place where traditions are woven into the fabric of daily life.

  • Weather - The rainy season (with daily rain showers) in the highlands of Guatemala lasts from May thru August, and there is usually a break in the rain for a few weeks in July. Daily July temperatures in Parramos range from 68 degrees at night to 76 degrees in the day.

When: July 11-18, 2026

Who: Trip is open to high school Juniors & Seniors, and all adults. Team capped at 20 individuals.

What: The FLC Mission Team will be working with Adventures in Missions to serve and minister to the local community in Parramos and the surrounding region
